""Karma," he [Buddha] often said, "is intention": i.e., a movement of the mind that occurs each time we think, speak, or act. By being mindful of this process, we come to understand how intentions lead to habitual patterns of behavior, which in turn affect the quality of our experience."
Stephen Batchelor, Buddhism Without Beliefs.

Center's Description
Our group meets for meditation and a dharma talk given by Zen monk, Ven. Hye Wol Sunim. Our usual format is a sitting period, the dharma talk, and a second sitting period. Afterwards we have tea and a group chat.

Rev. Sunim is ordained in the Korean Zen tradition and has studied other traditions as well. The meetings are held at the Maitri Buddhist Meditation Center, a Theravadan Buddhist monastery in Sun Valley.
