| New York Insight (NYI) was founded in 1997 as a nonprofit, nonresidential center for the practice of insight meditation. NYI offers a variety of retreats, meditation events, beginners' courses, workshops, and evening sittings. NYI provides a place where all are welcome to begin or deepen meditation practice, and become part of a community of likeminded people. Currently NYI holds its programs at different locations throughout the city and its environs. NYI's vision for the future includes having its own facility and to continue to offer the practitioners of insight meditation an opportunity to learn, find support, and share with others as they move along the path. The programs offered by New York Insight, except where noted, are suitable for beginning, as well as experienced meditators. NYI welcomes the participation of all interested people. | |
