Center's Description
The Zen Fellowship of Bakersfield is dedicated to the practice of zazen (Zen meditation) in the Soto tradition of Taisen Deshimaru and Kodo Sawaki.

ZFB is affiliated with the Zen Fellowship of Alexandria, Louisiana, and the New Orleans Zen Temple, Robert Livingston Roshi, Abbot.

The Director of ZFB is Richard Collins, who received monastic ordination from Robert Livingston Roshi.

The Zen Fellowship offers zazen practice in the Forum at St. Paul's Episcopal Church every Saturday morning at 7:30 am. We also have a sitting group on the campus of CSUB.
