Center's Description
The main practice in all our centers is the Guru Yoga meditation on the 16th Karmapa. This meditation is guided in English and involves visualization and mantra recitation, allowing space, clarity and joy to naturally arise.

There is a relaxed social atmosphere in the centers, refreshments are provided, and questions are encouraged. Other activities include group readings, teachings and dharma video viewing. These weekly meditation evenings are open to the public and are free of charge.

Diamond Way centers work together to organize retreats, lectures and workshops throughout the year. Lama Ole Nydahl gives several annual retreats in the U.S. on Phowa, Meditation, Mahamudra, and Ngondro practices. In addition, other traveling lay teachers provide explanations and practical examples, bringing dharma teachings to life.

We offer a weekly public meditation at the University of Minnesota, in the Coffman Memorial Union every Tuesday at 7:00 pm (except for the times of winter, spring and summer breaks).

We offer free public meditations on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm preceded by a 30-minute Introduction to Buddhism at 8:30 pm, and on Sundays at 6:00 pm at the Twin Cities Diamond Way Buddhist Center in Uptown.
