Birken Forest Monastery is situated on 80 acres at 4,000 ft. elevation in the quiet landscape south of Kamloops, British Columbia. A “forest” monastery in the Theravada Buddhist tradition, Birken is both a training monastery for men and women monastics, and offers fine accommodation for lay guests seeking a peaceful environment for private and group meditation.
